Our objective is to continue engineering and selling innovative products for the automotive aftermarket and doing so while having our Contributors and contractors working safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.

Compliance with California Proposition 65

We comply with California’s Proposition 65 regulations, which generally require that companies disclose when their products contain harmful chemicals. We train applicable employees on the regulations and have made a hotline available to all of our Contributors, directors and contractors, as well as our suppliers, to report any noncompliance. Conflict Minerals

It is our goal to manufacture products that contain only conflict-free materials, particularly tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold. We support the humanitarian goal of ending the human rights violations and violence in the Conflict Region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and adjoining countries. We encourage all our suppliers to likewise support our efforts detailed in our Conflict Minerals Policy and we comply with applicable disclosure rules of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regarding conflict minerals.

Remanufacturing to Reduce Waste and Emissions

Dorman is a leader in remanufacturing technology, investing heavily in new techniques and technologies to divert used automotive parts from the waste stream, and making them good as new again for several years and thousands of miles. In doing so, these processes also help conserve raw materials and reduce energy consumption as compared to manufacturing new materials from scratch. And, because our main remanufacturing facilities are located in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania, and Sanford, North Carolina, instead of having to procure new replacement parts from overseas and shipping them across the globe, we can produce and deliver our remanufactured parts domestically to US customers, further reducing our carbon footprint.

We are committed to remanufacturing to the highest quality possible, not only to deliver reliable solutions for our customers, but also to reduce the environmental impact of our industry. Our Lewisberry facility is certified by the International Organization for Standardization, or ISO, while our Sanford facility has won an award from the Battery Innovation Center, both of which speak volumes about commitment to this process for the long-term.
